New Solutions: Identification of Key Infrastructure for Enhanced Protection, Increased Financing and Capital Improvements, Improved Operating Programs, and Regulatory Reforms
As one looks ahead to long term planning it may be possible to integrate new "smart infrastructure" into vital facilities and better provide for upgraded and protected communications and ICT systems. This panel explored how to build better infrastructure and communications systems for the future that can more effectively cope with disasters and emergencies, allow civilian and defense systems to talk to each other and use available information more effectively. It is hoped that the best ideas in this regard can somehow be made available to the NSTAC, NCS, COOP and NIPP processes.
